Stalinist challenges USA?

Posted by Al on June 24, 2009

Seems North Korea’s little stalinist dictator, Kim Jong il, couldn’t restrain himself from trying to deflect some attention from his comrade in arms in Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Soooo, while his fellow disciple of evil orders his personal state-sponsored goon squad to kill innocent people for simply seeking a more just and free society in Iran, he continues to thumb his nose at the world community, walking about with a pronounced swagger, threatening to wipe the United States of America off the map…

Where’s a great man like Clint Eastwood when these sinister terrorist thugs need some good old-fashioned “Go Ahead, Make My Day” style intervention?

Wondering how Don Vito Corleone of Godfather fame would handle Ahmadinejad (McSmirk) and Kim Jong il (McSwagger)…

Several days ago, a bogus story began to be circulated about that somehow the CIA was responsible for the untimely and tragic death of the brave young woman, Neda, who lost her life for simply promoting a more just and free Iran. Let’s be fair here and ask a simple question: Who does this obvious lie benefit? Yes, of course, Ahmadinejad and his puppet-masters who wish to divert attention from the legitimate and central issue in the Iranian Presidential Election, the brave Iranian people have had enough of an abusive system and simply want a more just and free society.  Stop lying and accept the facts, Ahmadinejad, shaah maat.

Shaah Maat, Ahmadinejad?

A new beginning, or more tyranny from a smirking thug?

Does the will of the Iranian people matter to Ahmadinejad?

There’s something rotten in Tehran when the will of the people is trampled upon, and innocent human lives–simply promoting liberty and human rights– are killed in the process…Joseph Stalin & Adolf Hitler would be proud.

Stalin, Hitler & Ahmadinejad…

Imagine

Posted by Al on March 25, 2009

When former Beatles great/music legend John Lennon wrote and sang the words to his mega-hit song “Imagine” the world seemed a hopeful place where “someday” it was practical to believe that everyone could live in harmony and peace;

however, fast forward to the present day negative antics of tandem-tyrants in power in present day Iran and North Korea, the unpredictable world we live in now is rife with tension and danger amid North Korea and Iran’s continued exploits. Their sinister song/anthem runs counter to Mr. Lennon’s ideals, and counter to Freedom and Liberty amongest men, women and children everywhere on this blue and green planet, who cherish and honor a just society for all. It’s time to tell these terrorist bullies to Stand Down and remove their sinister threat to the peace and harmony the world seeks.

Heading out to lunch. I’ll take that opportunity to listen to another musical legend, John Cougar Mellencamp, especially his lyrics to smash hit song “Small Town”.  For your pleasure/interest if you have a few minutes to listen to some of his best songs of all-time, I leave the following link…

Encore!

Posted by Al on March 21, 2009

How are you? Thanks for taking a few minutes out of your busy day to stop by. As we head into another weekend, our very first of the Spring season, many of us will begin to conduct what has become to be known as “Spring Cleaning” projects. Do you have any of your own? Whether it’s organizing the garage; raking the last remaining remnants of fallen and broken tree branches/twigs, etc off the lawn; or determining what furniture, household appliances,  and/or clothing to set aside for the upcoming “Yard Sale” season; heading over to the hardware store to select fresh paint for that long overdue painting project; or,  simply getting out to enjoy a brisk walk in the warm sunshine, Spring has sprung.

On that positive note, I am happy to share a wonderful story to end the week. Amid so much negativity surrounding our schools/education of late, where once trusted teachers have betrayed that trust by having inappropriate relationships with their impressionable, trusting and innocent students; drop-out rates are climbing; school violence is becoming more the norm than an after-thought; etc…there’s an uplifting and positive story coming out of California, where a respectful and responsible young man made an honorable decision to do the right thing…

What an unselfish and caring young man, exhibiting respectful and responsible behavior. Unfortunately, there are some schools where a similar situation may have not been handled in a timely manner, and the outcome may have been shockingly unpleasant to read about.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a safe and relaxing weekend.

Whose In Charge?

Posted by Al on March 20, 2009

While President Obama goes on yet another whirlwind media blitz tour–most recently hamming  it up for ESPN television coverage of his picks to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament and a recent late night appearance on NBC’s “Tonight Show With Jay Leno” (some 3,000 miles away from his post), a nagging question is beginning to rear its contemptuous  head while the president continues to spend an exorbitant amount of time in his personal comfort zone (scheduling speaking engagements in front of the bright lights and cameras), instead of  adequately addressing and tackling the more important issues facing the American people and our nation (the dismal state of the economy,  two major wars abroad, and an increasing rise in unemployment across the country to mention only a few).

So, while Mr. Obama is out and about promoting himself again, and again, and…well, you get the point, the once quiet whispering campaign–now swelling in numbers–wondering whose in charge while the president goes away on yet another smile that dazzling smile and give another pretty speech tour, is beginning to lose its initial hush tones and evolve into a louder question of concern: Whose In Charge?  No one on this blue and green planet will ever deny that President Obama is not a good talker, so scheduling further speaking engagements just to hear himself speak is not appropriate at this critical juncture in our nation’s history.  Rolling his sleeves up and actually offering the American people some genuine leadership on their behalf is in order–save the photo-ops and catchy sound-bites please. Someone in his trusted inner-circle may want to consider helping him reset his priorities and agenda to reflect the hard-working American tax-payers first and foremost and shelve his wannabe a rockstar tour.

It’s time to get down to business: let’s turn off the teleprompter, and turn our undivided attention to serving the American people and doing what’s right by them (putting more of their hard eaned tax-dollars back into their own wallets and purses; supporting American small-businesses so they succeed; protect our sacred borders; talk less (although some people are good-talkers), but actually do more about healthcare–something worthwhile and meaningful; find Osama Bin Laden before its too late, eradicate him from his hiding place in seclusion in Iran, Syria or Iran and neutralize him; order rogue nations like Iran, Syria, North Korea and Iran to Stand-Down on their so-called “research” rocket “tests”; sanction Nigeria if they continue to sell-out to the highest bidders for their rich  uranium deposits (aiding and abetting is a crime too). Stop ordering our brave men and women in the Armed Forces to pay out of their own pocket for much needed medical and/or follow-up healthcare, especially after they have stood bravely on the front lines of freedom to protect and defend our nation from tyrants and terrorist thugs…and the list goes on but no where in that list should be more time for more self-centered photo-ops and catchy sound-bites. Leadership takes action, talk is cheap.

When President Harry S. Truman was the nation’s leader no one ever had to wonder where his main priorities were. Where President Obama is a good-talker, Mr. Truman lead from his heart, mind and soul and on his own two feet–not from behind a podium reading scrolling words on a teleprompter screen. When President Truman was the nation’s leader no one ever had to witness finger-pointing at others, because Mr. Truman accepted his leadership role fully. Popularity is a good thing, but it shouldn’t be a fawning legacy, especially at the expense of the grave and challenging issues facing the hardworking American people, who deserve the respect and undivided attention of their president. The Obama Administration have to ask themselves a question, more self-centered flash and dash or “The Buck Stops Here”? Cowboy up, Mr. President?

PS: Blaming Mr. Bush is not a solution either.
